We interviewed Principal Brian about the recent performance of the Wizard of Oz play. We asked him how he thought the play went. He responded with "I thought the actors were like professionals moving through technical difficulties and other issues that they had throughtout the play." He also thought that the costumes, created by Sarah Eblin, were GREAT!! A big thank you to her!
In case you didn't know, there were 62 kids in the play! Having so many kids participate is one of the most exciting parts of directing. Brian also wanted to thank all the parents for supporting our actors/actresses. The hardest part for Brian was getting all the sets created, but it all turned out well. Some possible plays for next fall include, Alice in Wonderland, The Velveteen Rabbit, Monsters in my Closet, or Willie Wonka. Brian had one last thing he wanted to say to the actors, "All the main people did great, especially Gavin and Mason for being loud without the option of a mic." Thursday the 15th is the Winter Concert. The concert starts at 7:00. Some of the songs that the kids are singing are, Hard Knock Life, Castle on a Cloud, and many more.
Today 12/7 we interviewed Mrs. Kellie. Room 16 is doing an amazing project called Adopt A Family. What it is about is to buy presents for families that don't have enough money to buy presents for their children or other family members. Not all families have extra money to buy gifts this time of year. Everyone needs some help and this is one of the best ways to do it. If you would like to help go to room 16, donate a present or gift cards, and put a little joy in someones day! It isn't just about kids, but for adults too.
